Hey steve, i been following your advice for the last 2 weeks and been sticking to it on the deficit and so far down about 25 lbs. thanks man for your good advice! Love your body.
BodyPerformanceTV says:
@fitnesschaser01 I would keep my calories the same and just incoporate some additional cardio. Meaning 30 minute walk twice a week. You’re getting to the last 5 pounds which might be a bit difficult depending on the kind of shape you’re in.
fitnesschaser01 says:
I’ve read that it’s not a good idea to eat less than 1,000 calories. My BMR is about 1290. I’m 5’1″, 110 lbs, goal 100-105. In order to create a 500 deficit, I’d have to consume 790 calories. Every other day, I run an hour which burns about 400 calories, so on those days, I’ll eat about 1200 calories. Some days I do 20 min cardio that burns about 150-200 calories, and I’ll eat 900 calories on those days. When I’m not working out, I’ll eat about 800 calories. Is that too low for someone like me?
BodyPerformanceTV says:
@gokunarutosal Dtermine how many calories you’re eating and then determine if you’re gaining or losing weight with your activity.
gokunarutosal says:
How do you know how many calories your burning? are those machines at the gym ever acurate? One of the runing machines told me i burned 140 calories in 15 min of joging, i weigh 190 age 17 5’11
So how can i tell how many calories im acuratly burning?

thanks for a quick respond. Another question:
What’s the best formula to maintain optimum healthy weight? In the Russia we’re using: heights in centimeters minus a 100 = your max lean body weight in kg. Is there any better suggestion? Thank you in advance.
BodyPerformanceTV says:
@dmitriyb79 Muscle is more metabolically active so it uses more calories. BUT you are right when saying even if somebody is very lean like a pro bodybuilder their heart does have to work harder to maintain a 260 lb. body instead of a 180 lb. body.
dmitriyb79 says:
Steve,
What’s the difference as far as “weight” fat or muscle, if it’s still overweight for your heart?:)
BodyPerformanceTV says:
@th3flash23 I keep it the same. Sometimes I even eat more.

How many calories do you take in to maintain your muscle mass? Also how often do you work out?
hagakure8398 says:
What I do is plan all of my meals/drinks for the day when I get up in the morning so I know exctaly what I can eat that day and stay in my 1600-1700 cal a day intake. This plus working out helps me lose weight.
BodyPerformanceTV says:
@vhira That depends on what you do and if you’re losing weight. Also depends on how you feel on that number of calories and if you’re losing weight,.
vhira says:
I weigh 210 pounds and I eat 1400-1600 calories a day. Am I eating far less then I supose to be eating?
